Another exercise I like to do when I have the legs feeling good is to use a barbell curl on the leg. Basically using your hands against a wall with your elbows pointing straight up is a great exercise that takes a lot of the stress off your legs. You don't want to have these exercises on your leg rest in just because it can help to improve soreness. You need to do this when you are fatigued and ready to let your body take those workouts into its own stride and give them a break from the more intense leg work you do.
